How was everyone’s Easter break? We had a lovely time relaxing with family in Kadina, before coming back to Adelaide on Sunday to go to the Crows!
I thought instead of focusing on my outfit today, I would feature Sophie’s double denim ensemble.
Sophie is wearing a patterned chambray shirt, with leopard print denim jeans cuffed over a maroon faux suede booty. The key thing to remember when wearing double denim, is to break it up somehow, whether with accessories (belt or scarf), jewelry, or in this instance different colour denim (the top is slightly darker). I also like how the pattern reverses on each item.
It is also really important to cuff your pants when wearing booties (ideally just above the boot). Not only so everyone can see your fabulous shoe, but also because often the cuff will be lighter than the pant, or a bit of sock or skin will show, this will separate the pant from the bootie and draw the eye back up to your face making you appear taller!
Finally try to wear a cute sock as a point of interest, you will get lots of great compliments if you do!
