Last night we went to Jack Ruby with friends for Ben’s birthday (very cool little establishment)!

As much as I wanted a new dress and/or shoes, it is just not on the cards right now 🙁 .

So I had to make do with what I had in my wardrobe (which is significantly less than normal due to a few pesky kilograms…..sigh)

I decided on a pair of baggy black and white pants and neon yellow top, (neon and black are best friends!) but then came what shoes, my awesome yellow shoes that would have looked great with this ensemble died a couple of weeks ago (another sigh) and all my black shoes seemed too heavy… In the past this conundrum would have but a stop to this outfit, but thanks to Nat’s teaching I knew I could wear a shoe in my hair colour (blonde) even if there was no other blonde element in my outfit!

Finally I needed something to pull it all together, but none of my necklaces were doing it, at the last minute I tore down to the parade in search of something and found this great necklace!

Now generally due to my complexion I would steer clear of this colour combination, but it’s amazing what faking it can do…..thanks St Tropez!
