I had the loveliest day today, doing the three things I love most, catching up with friends, drinking bubbles and shopping!
My friend Mel invited me to a High Tea Soirée unlike any I have been to before; we got to shop in the comfort of Mel’s house while chatting, scoffing food and drinking bubbles. Mel was hosting a Vintage Fox party. Vintage Fox sells her vintage clothing, street wear and accessories, through parties, that you can host and invite your friends too! ( You can find her on Facebook.)
Because it was a high tea and I was all inspired by the vintage element to the day I decided to frock up with this 50s inspired floral dress. Since I had my hair chopped my look has evolved and I have moved away from some of my more “pretty/girly outfits like this, but it was fun to go with this look today.
I also scored some bargains at the party! I got the vintage dress on the right for $45 and the necklace for $25. Can you see the pressed flowers in the resin?
Today has inspired me to get back into op and vintage shopping. When I was at Uni I used to spend all my free time rummaging through op shops, the black shoes are actually vintage Jane Debster peep toes I found in hard rubbish 8 years ago!
Do you go to op shops or buy vintage? If so where do you like to shop?
