Everything old is new again, including Chambray!!
Have you got a chambray shirt yet? Do yourself a favour and get one, they go with everything, just like jeans!
Don’t feel that chambray is just for the weekends either, I work in a relatively conservative consulting firm and I just pair mine with a skirt and heels, ’cause really it is just a blue shirt!
I normally wear a necklace, but I really liked how the shirt looked open, with the colour lifted, and I felt the necklaces I tried pairing with it, took away from the overall look, rather than adding to it.
I felt a little naked without wearing any jewelry, and while I could have played it safe by donning a few bangles, instead I went for a pair of statement “vintage” clip-ons (is 80’s stuff vintage yet?) and channeled my inner Melanie Griffith (think ‘Working Girl’)
Now if you have ever been to the Define Miss N’s (Defined Image) workshops , you would know she has a fairly strict bare shoulders policy when it comes to big earrings. But I feel that because I have so much of my décolletage exposed with the shirt unbuttoned, I just get away with it? Plus rules are made to be broken, right?
