Yellow, grey and chevron….(DI Interiors Post 28.6.2014)
This is for all the parents out there, especially expecting Mums.
We haven’t really done it yet, but as she gets older we will be adding more and more pink to her room (a bit like the top LHS pic). If we had a boy we could have then added more blue (very stereotypical I know!)
Surprise! (DI post 26.6.2014)
Breaking all the rules…. (DI Post 23.6.2014)
This outfit is pretty basic, a knit, skirt, heels and a clutch. What makes this outfit a stand out (in my opinion) is the colour and prints and how I have broken every traditional rule regarding print and colour that our grandmothers (probably our mums too) would have adhered to.
- If you want to look edgy and current, don’t match your shoes with your bag;
- Mix your prints – I have mixed the cream and black poker-dot with my leopard print heels (they have black in common);
- My shoes also look good, because orange and blue are best friends!;
- You can wear any colour together providing they are in the same colour family, e.g. pastels, darks and brights. My skirt and clutch are both brights!; and
- Be confident and you can pull off anything!
Keep core elements neutral (DI Interior Post 21.6.2014)
That way you can play around with colour in your more interchangeable and less expensive items. Such as chairs, cushions, artwork, ornamentation and soft furnishings. (Is this starting to sound familiar?)
Winter whites….. (DI Post 19.6.2014)
Do you ever wear leggings as pants? (DI Post 16.6.2014)
I love my new Coles grey cable knit, today I have gone for warmth and comfort (again) and teamed it with my black Kardashian ponte pants/leggings and black boots.
and the leopard print Foley and Agamo bag creates a fantastic contrast, being the only warm coloured item in the ensemble!
Breaking up a heavy knit….(DI Post 14.6.2014)
I just love tan and blue, don’t you? (DI Post 12.6.2014)
Don’t pack your summer dresses away just yet! (DI Post 9.6.2014)
So please don’t pack away those summer dresses!
