Hello (waves)
Well here goes, welcome to Guin’s Everyday Style and my first post.
Guin’s Everyday Style will be my vehicle for expressing myself in a holistic way through all facets of life: fashion; design; health; and fitness. I am a busy working mum, and would be foolish to think that I could do all this on my own, so from time to time I will enlist the help of my friends and eventually my followers to help fill the pages and hopefully bring some happiness, laughter and the occasional enlightenment into your lives.
If you like what you see, it would be fantastic if you could support this new endeavor by liking me on Facebook and following me on Instagram and Twitter.
So let’s get started…….
Today I wore my new Grid print pants from Country Road. If you think you might get on board with this trend this spring, there are a few things to bear in mind.
These pants have a lot going on and are obviously wide. You can do two things, keep it really simple up top with a crisp shirt or simple top as seen on the CR model, or, if like me you want to layer it up to get through this cooler weather, follow these steps:
- Start with a simple top, I went for a black fine knit;
- Because I went dark with the top, I needed to go light with the cardi;
- To tie the look together I went with a print scarf that works with the print pants purely because both items have a white base, the scarf works with the cardi as it also has some light grey.
- There is so much fabric with these pants that selecting a shoe that shows some skin is mandatory (plus my shoes are black and white and blonde – tying in with my pants and hair!)
Wide leg pants like this are not for everyone, but if they are for you I hope this post is helpful.
